Therapy
I believe that therapy is a time for clients to discover how they might be more free and authentic in themselves and in their lives. It is a safe place in which to explore the inner terrain of the heart and mind, and increase emotional and personal resiliency.
Sessions might involve us having conversations about your life and feelings, and sometimes they might involve you paying close attention to what is showing up in your body and thus exploring your intuition and truth that way. I believe that every person has the answers they need inside themselves, and so part of therapy involves practicing how to notice and listen to what is happening inside. This inner information can be used to help each client guide their lives in a way that is more in alignment with their own values and goals. Each session is tailored to what is most comfortable and useful to a client, and I welcome feedback about what does and doesn't work.
I am trained in several different kinds of therapy and I tend to use what seems most helpful and resonant for the client and the situation. These therapy modalities include Internal Family Systems, Attachment-Based, Somatic-Informed, Expressive Arts, Transpersonal, Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, and Cognitive Behavioral.
